"Thanks again Tom. I got to say I had more fun flying than I have had in a long time. I guess the difference is that land plane flying for me is 99% being high in the air and 1% quickly climbing or descending from cruise to the runway. The seaplane was about 99% paying attention to the ground and water. I really loved to learn to do the low level stuff and getting used to the way trees look when you are descending over them at 50feet. That kind of ground contact flying is just something you rarely get to see and experience when flying into airports. You were right about the glassy takeoffs. They are an absolute blast. It reminded me of getting a catamaran or iceboat up on 1 hull or runner. I thought it felt great."
